The Foundation will consider applications for any of the needs in the report. However, it will give top priority to grants to meet one or more of these needs:
- Vocational trade certification and other workforce development support
- Substance abuse prevention and treatment
- Access to quality mental health services
The Foundation prefers to fund specific projects, capital and equipment needs, and programs. Grant applications may also include costs to improve the ability to measure quality, accountability, and impact. However, the Foundation will rarely pay for the ongoing program, management, or maintenance costs.
Eligibility Criteria
- To qualify for the grant program, applicants must be a 501(c)(3) public charity that serves the residents of Floyd County and have a distinct need in mind.
Geographic Restrictions
- The Foundation will make grants only to organizations whose projects and programs benefit the residents of Floyd County, Indiana which include New Albany, Floyds Knobs, Greenville, Georgetown, and Galena areas. If serving clients from other geographic areas, an organization may be funded for the portion of its proposed project that directly serves Floyd County residents. Such grant applicant organizations must report the breakdown of its clients by county and/or state.
