The goal of the Competition is to provide a unique opportunity for businesses in Monroe County that are challenged by the need to secure access to capital to help such businesses grow and provide services within Monroe County.
The Competition is administered by CUE and is sponsored by Rochester Institute of Technology and Rochester Economic Development Corporation (REDCO).
Eligibility Criteria
- Age All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
- Location and Residency The business must be currently operating within the Finger Lakes nine county region. All individual applicants and/or team leaders must have a legal residence within the Finger Lakes nine county region (this includes the counties of Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Orleans, Ontario, Seneca, Wayne, Wyoming and Yates).
- Revenue All businesses must have an existing business plan and a business model that is operational and generating revenue. Businesses must earn a minimum of $25,000 in annual gross revenue to enter the competition.
