The Agricultural Development Division (ADD) serves to promote the economic viability of commercial agriculture in Hawaii by sponsoring joint marketing programs for agricultural products with high revenue growth potentials; facilitating the development and expansion of marketing opportunities for targeted agricultural and processed products; and providing timely, accurate and useful statistics.
Examples of the types of activities that may be funded under this grant include:
- Small-Scale Gardening – purchase tools or equipment, soil, seeds, plants, canning equipment, refrigeration, composting equipment, towers, hydroponic and aeroponic farming.
- Small-Scale Herding and Livestock Operations – purchase animals, buy, erect or repair fencing for livestock.
Funding Information
- The maximum award per household is $5,000.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility requirements include:
- Must be a Hawai`i resident, at least 18 years old and head of the household.
- The household has not received a previous MGFSP grant
