- Examination of factors associated with physical and psychological symptoms (including symptom trajectories), adverse effects, and other survivorship outcomes (e.g., quality of life and functional outcomes) among individuals living with likely incurable cancer
- Determining components of survivorship care (which may include integration of oncology sub-specialties, other specialty care, palliative care, supportive care such as physical and occupational therapy, nutrition/diet, mental health, financial services, and primary care) to optimize outcomes among individuals living with likely incurable cancer
- Understanding the impact of living longer with likely incurable cancer on employment and financial concerns, given changing care trajectories and delivery of innovative, often more-costly, treatments
- Development and testing of models of survivorship care for individuals living with likely incurable cancer that can be tailored based on the needs of the survivor and health system resources and include attention to management of changing symptom trajectories, psychosocial support, care coordination, management of comorbid conditions, and/or support for the survivor/caregiver dyad
