The purpose of this NOFO is to establish a cooperative agreement for a National Legal and Judicial Child Welfare Center for Innovation and Advancement (Center).
CIPs are intended to serve as leadership for child welfare legal and judicial matters in their states/tribes. As such, CIPs will be the primary driver of TA offered under this project. This includes that CIPs will be both primary direct recipients of TA but also direct TA to other needed audiences such as attorneys for agencies, children, parents, kin, tribes in ICWA cases, other court and attorney team members, and other wider participants where the need to improve the legal practice is more multidisciplinary.

Project Period

Eligibility Criteria
- Eligibility is open to the following states, Indian tribes or tribal organizations, public agencies, private agencies, or organizations (or combinations of such entities).
- Faith-based and community organizations that meet the eligibility requirements are eligible to receive awards under this funding opportunity.
