The Savings Bank of Danbury Foundation awarded $240,144 to 96 non-profit agencies in 2021. These grants represent a 7% increase over 2020 grants making this the foundations largest award year to date. They are proud to support these outstanding organizations. These agencies address many critical needs in the areas of Affordable Housing, Arts and Culture, Community Service and Economic Development, Education and Health and Human Service.
The emphasis of their donations was in the areas of food insecurity, housing, mental health and COVID initiatives. They extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to these outstanding agencies, their staff and volunteers. They work tirelessly every day to ensure that communities are better places to live and work. Individuals and families can reach out to agencies when in need 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Savings Bank of Danbury Foundation was established to provide grants to eligible 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations in five primary areas:
