The focus of the grant is on programs and services. The operational or overhead costs for a program or service can be a part of the funding request. As such, the costs for equipment for a program that serves County residents can be included in the grant request as well the costs for program staff who serve Adams County residents.
Grant Criteria
Programs must directly serve or demonstrate clear value for Adams County residents. Programs shall fit into one of the following categories:
- Basic needs or self-sufficiency.
- Education, workforce development, out-of-school activities, mentoring.
- Housing resources for underserved populations.
- Health and well-being
Eligibility Criteria
Organizations with 501(c) status or that are publicly supported are eligible to apply for the grant. A publicly supported organization, according to the IRS, receives a substantial part of its support in the form of contributions from governmental units, and/or the general public. Nonprofit organizations that do not have a 501(c) designation can apply through a 501(c)(3) fiscal agent. Applicant organizations must be registered with the Colorado Secretary of State. Applications must be complete and submitted with all required documents by the deadline to be considered.
