Financial Stability
- Goal: Individuals/Families have opportunities for employment, enhanced financial literacy and their basic needs met.

- Assist individuals in gaining and maintaining employment.
- Promote life skills and financial literacy.
- Ensure basic needs are met (Food, Housing and Personal Safety)
Eligibility Criteria
Potential Applicants must:
- Be classified as a 501c3 non-profit organization or government agency
- Agree to abide by federal and state laws related to non-discrimination and charitable organizations
- Have a volunteer Board of Directors or governing board that includes representation from Douglas and/or Pope Counties
- Perform an annual audit according to state guidelines and submit that annual audit upon request if available.
- Identify and provide the name of the person responsible for administering the grant funds
- Submit the following:
- Proposed budget
- List of Board Members and their affiliations
- Income (P&L) Statements & Balance Sheet
- Provide a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion statement as part of their application
- Make available upon request:
- Copy of Articles of Incorporation
- Copy of By Laws
- Recent Form 990
- Any additional information as requested by United Way
- Proposed Projects or Programs must:
- Address a population need in Douglas and/or Pope Counties in the areas of Health, Education and Financial Stability
- Clearly identify the target population(s) and geographic area to be served
- Demonstrate that service(s) are available to all in the target population, regardless of ability to pay
- Develop and report measurable outcomes
- Show that service(s) are not intended primarily for the benefit of any church or synagogue, or for sectarian religious purposes.
