This grant funding is aimed to further their mission of facilitating conversations with API communities and advocating for representation of voices by:
- Amplifying and cultivating leadership
- Acting as a hub for API organizations to collaborate
- Building a more inclusive and equitable San Diego
Priorities
Preference will be given to organizations with a budget of less than $1,000,000 that directly benefit the Asian and Pacific Islander Community. They are looking to fund creative and impactful initiatives in priority areas such as AAPI leadership development, communications and narrative change, intergenerational healing, community building, empowerment and education.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be a non-foundational 501(c)(3) organization, have a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor, or a community group located in the County of San Diego or County of Imperial County. Programs should directly benefit the Asian Pacific Islander community and should be completed by end of 2023 calendar year. Programs and projects must fall into one of the following categories:
- Civic Engagement
- Leadership Development
- Community Safety
- Capacity Building
- Mental Health
