Programs supported by Healthy Watertown Grants in the past have included:
- Local food pantries in Watertown
- Local programs providing food assistance or purchasing credits for Watertown residents
- Nutrition and meal programs for Watertown’s school-age children and seniors
- Programs and services fostering healthy aging in Watertown
- Mental health first aid training for first responders serving Watertown
- Programs designed to combat the opioid crisis and provide services and supports for individuals and families in Watertown who struggle with substance use disorders
- Health-related programs for infants and their families in Watertown
Funding Information
Eligible organizations may apply for a maximum of $2,000. The average amount awarded will range from $500 to $1,500.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, your program must:
- Be run by a public entity, non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, or an organization that is sponsored by a Watertown-based 501(c)(3) organization. Organizations with a 501(c)(4) tax status are not eligible for support.
- Be based in Watertown and serve the city’s residents. If based outside of Watertown, your organization must be able to demonstrate a partnership/collaboration with a Watertown non-profit and that your program directly benefits the health of Watertown residents.
- Provide a program or service that benefits the health of the Watertown community.
