The Nonprofit Partnership (TNP) will be administering City of Long Beach Grants for youth programming that will take place during Summer 2022.
This program supports the goals found in the Long Beach Youth and Young Adults Strategic Plan (YSP). In particular, the prioritized goals are:
- Goal 2: Physical Health, Mental Health, and Emotional Wellness.
- Objective 1: Strengthen, scale and fund local community-based organizations to increase availability of culturally relevant health, mental health, and wellness services.
- Example Activity: Develop and sustain family-centered approaches to health, mental health, and trauma to build family resiliency through community-place-based efforts.

- Objective 2: Increase private sector engagement and commitment to support youth development.

- Objective 1: Create open spaces that reflect the needs of young people.
- Example Activity: Partner with academic and faith-based institutions to expand use of campuses as community hubs and resource centers.
- Objective 2: Create and sustain youth-led platforms that promote inclusive spaces and equity.
- Example Activity 1: Create virtual platforms for ongoing youth dialogue on youth development issues including immigration, racial healing, and social/economic inclusivity.
- Example Activity 2: Collaboratively design and implement intergenerational services that support youth and their families, promote libraries and other community spaces as positive and supportive spaces that foster these activities.

Funding Information
Grants will be $10,000 for single organizations and $25,000 for collaborations between organizations.
Eligibility Criteria
All nonprofit organizations operating youth programming within the city limits of Long Beach are eligible to apply to potentially receive funding for projects to be completed by October 14, 2022.
