The JVS Philadelphia Fund for Women will deploy capital in two primary methods: through grants made to women-owned and led businesses that are positioned for their next stage of growth.
The fund will operate with three primary goals:
- to act as a source of capital to women-owned and operated enterprises in Greater Philadelphia,
- to connect grant recipients to resources that accelerate growth, and
- to leverage the experience of established women leaders.
Funding Information
Size of Award Initial grants will be made up to $50,000. Successful grant recipients will be eligible to apply for subsequent grant funding based on defined milestone achievements.
Use of Funds
Grant funds must be allocated to clearly defined and approved project costs designed to advance the company’s growth and success.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible applicant companies must:
- Be majority woman-owned and -led;
- Be legal entities with an IRS Employer Identification Number (EIN);
- Focus on professional services and product offerings;
- Be located in, or willing to locate to, the Greater Philadelphia region;
- Be in business for at least two years, generating service or product sales and on a path to profitability and growth;
- Have a team in place, including staff and advisors.
