Wyoming has a growing community of older adults. One effective way to address adverse health effects associated with aging is with intentional arts engagement. This field is referred to as Creative Aging. As part of an ongoing effort from the Wyoming Arts Council to provide meaningful arts opportunities for older adults in Wyoming, these grant funds will support artists and organizations in developing arts education and social engagement opportunities for Wyoming’s older adults.
Grants will be awarded to organizations and/or individual teaching artists in order to develop and implement anywhere between one and four separate 8-week creative aging programs.
Funding Information
Grants will be awarded in increments of $2,500 for each 8 week creative aging program ($2,500 for one program, $5,000 for two programs, $7,500 for three programs, $10,000 for four programs).
Eligibility Criteria
Both arts organizations and individual teaching artists are eligible to apply for this grant.
Must either be a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization or a government agency to be eligible to receive Wyoming Arts Council funding. If your organization does not meet these eligibility requirements, you may still be able to apply using a Fiscal Sponsor that does meet the eligibility requirements.

Criteria
Applications will be reviewed by WAC staff and evaluated on the following criteria:
- Capacity
- Does the organization/artist demonstrate that they have the capacity to implement between one and four 8-week creative aging programs plus culminating events within the grant period?
- Commitment/Experience
- Does the organization/artist demonstrate a commitment to creative aging work?
- Programming Plan
- Does the organization/artist have a clear plan of how they will craft this programming?
- Partnership Plans
- Does the organization/artist have a clear plan for working with the local aging community?
- Budget
- Does the budget demonstrate appropriate financial planning for the proposed programs?
