Details:
This intensive 9-month program focuses on revitalization and growth of local commercial corridors. The main focus of the program is cultivating community leaders. As part of the RCLP, participant leaders will develop a project proposal.
This hands-on leadership training provides:
- useful tools to spark community improvement.
- practice through workshops and hands-on projects.
- connections with local peers, experts, and community leaders.
- This will allow participants to lead change in their neighborhood commercial corridors.

Funding Information
Participant leaders may get a Commercial Hub Advancement for Neighborhood Growth (CHANGE) grant of up to $10,000. These grants are to spark positive changes in a neighborhood business district. American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds support the RCLP.
Eligibility Criteria
- Live OR work in San Antonio 1+ years
- Demonstrated experience of collaboration with others. Current involvement in ED activities or enthusiasm to learn more.
- Ability to commit to program timeline and active participation of training sessions
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Selected programs participants must:
- Have demonstrated leadership experience and a desire to expand leadership capacity
- Work/volunteer in civic engagement, neighborhood initiatives, small businesses, or local development
- Collaborate with others to drive change in San Antonio
- Be passionate about corridor revitalization
- Commit to program timeline 14 training days over 9 months (specific dates to come)
- Demonstrate current involvement in economic development activities or willingness to learn more about economic development.
