The PledgeLA Founders Fund was created to directly address the systemic barriers that Black and Latinx entrepreneurs face when seeking capital for their companies. They help founders with demonstrated traction increase recurring revenue, find follow-on capital, and build community with their peers.
Funding Information
To help take their businesses to the next level, each founder will receive:
- Three months of cohort training & community
- $25,000 in non-dilutive funding
- A year of ongoing support with business strategy & funding
Eligibility Criteria
- For-profit businesses in Los Angeles County – they cannot accept applications from non-profits
- Industry agnostic – open to innovative businesses from all verticals that are ready to scale
- At least one founder or co-founder identifies as Black and/or Latinx
- Less than $250k raised from external sources prior to applying
They especially encourage applications from less well-represented communities, such as East Los Angeles, South Central/South Los Angeles, Southeast Los Angeles, and the Antelope, San Fernando, and San Gabriel Valleys.
