What Project are Eligible
The foundation knows there are many possible creative solutions to offering more dairy-related innovation programs for the people of their industry. The Dairy Innovators Grants focus on finding these new solutions which are inclusive, collaborative, and resourceful. These solutions should address an economic development, community development, workforce development, or industry promotional need or opportunity in a more innovative, effective, equitable, or sustainable way than existing approaches. They do not prioritize any specific issues and projects may be at various stages of the problem-solving process. They require the project be focused on some combination of innovation, technology, and leadership in the dairy industry.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants should be a public, nonprofit organization as defined by IRS Publication 78. You can also work with a verified fiscal sponsor who can receive funds on your behalf.
- The Central Plains Dairy Foundation does not award grants to support political campaigns, discriminatory practices, or personal gain.
- Grants must be used for projects located in the central plains (Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, and/or South Dakota).
- They will favor/prioritize proposals with project budget sizes of appropriate scale to this $500 – $10,000 grant opportunity and appropriate scale to the applicant’s capacity to execute the project.
