Details:
Teacher Assistance Program grants are selected by a community committee for creative and innovative supplemental programs not covered by school funding. The grants are given to K-12 teachers in public or private Richland County schools to encourage them to develop new programs for their classrooms.
The committee will prioritize requests which emphasize- Attendance, Literacy,
Mathematics, and/or Career Advising.
- TAP grant requests should be used to implement new or expand existing programs, but should not be considered the full-funding source on an ongoing basis.
- Learning software subscriptions and physical subscriptions (ie- Scholastic News) will be considered for funding for no more than two years per teacher or team of teachers.
- Teachers should be prepared to outline measurable goals/outcomes for their request and the educational value of the requested materials.
- The applicant will be responsible for identifying the contact who approves funding requests (ie- principal, treasurer, curriculum director).
