These are Planning Grants Funds to support a community engaged planning process. Each application should explain how funds will be used to explore and create projects with their partnering organizations that address each Aim:
- Improving community health,
- Caring for nearby land and habitats,
- Mending environmental justice areas and/or improving equitable access and opportunities to engage in nature.
Funding Information
- Grant awards will range $3,000 – $ 5,000.
- Timeframe for planning will be up to 6 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants should ensure that their collaboration includes one nonprofit organization that can serve as the administrator of the grant.
- Any group or organization in the Chicago Metropolitan Statistical Area.
- All program planning and implementation in an application should also occur in the Chicago Metro Area.
- Any organization or group that has not previously received NCH2 grant funds.
