The Joplin Regional Community Foundation Philanthropic Society (The Phil) is excited to award grants to address priority human needs in Joplin, Webb City, and Carl Junction. The goal is to provide the seed funding to organizations that can build out current programs or create new services that improve the status of categories listed below. The committee will put weight in the final decision toward organizations that 1) can share a vision and long-term plan on how they will address the identified problems and 2) organizations that demonstrate collaboration with other community agencies willing to partner in the effort to improve community wellbeing.
Funding Information
- A total of $150,000 is available in this grant round. Up to $50,000 is available for the three categories of Child Welfare/Education, Barriers to Work & Prosperity, and Housing Affordability and Homelessness.
- This is a one-time grant, with a one-year grant term.
Eligibility Criteria
- 501(c)(3) organizations or other IRS approved entities (government entities, school districts, and churches) serving the Joplin area are eligible to apply.
- Applicants who serve the Joplin, Webb City, and Carl Junction areas are encouraged to apply.
