This program will fund improvements to electric grid infrastructure in the state, particularly as it relates to the ability to withstand and recover from potential disruptions. Indiana OED seeks electric grid infrastructure projects that build upon existing efforts, can demonstrate increased reliability and resilience, and have strong community benefits. A minimum of 26% of available funds will be awarded to small utilities.
Program Objectives & Priorities
Projects within this funding opportunity shall demonstrate the ability to meet one or more Indiana’s three main objectives. These include:
- Improving the reliability of Indiana’s electric grid.
- Enhancing the resilience of the electric grid against natural disasters.
- Demonstrating a commitment to attract, train, and retain a diverse, highly skilled, and well-paid workforce.
Funding Information
Up to $2,000,000 per project. One project submission per applicant.

Eligible entities are defined within the Program Narrative, but generally include Indiana electric utilities.
