Details:
The City of Boynton Beach utilizes CDBG funds to improve community facilities and services, revitalize neighborhoods, fund public services, expand affordable housing, and expand economic opportunities that benefit low- to moderate-income persons. The City must use at least 70% of the entitlement for activities that either directly benefit low- to moderate-income persons or serves an area where the majority of the residents are low- to moderate-income.
CDBG funding must primarily benefit low and moderate-income residents and areas. Eligible Public Services activities include, but not limited to Educational Programs, Services for Senior Citizens, Services for Homeless Persons, Drug Abuse Counseling and Domestic Violence Prevention Programs. Eligible Housing Rehabilitation activities include, but no limited to the Homestead Owner-Occupied Limited Rehabilitation Program for the Elderly and/or Disable.
Funding Information
The City expects to receive approximately $550,000.00 in CDBG funding for 2024. Community Proposed Activities to be Funded:
- Planning and Administration up to 20% (Approximately $110,000.00).
- Public Services up to 15% (Approximately $82,500.00).
- Other Eligible Needed Activities 65% (Approximately $357,500.00).
Grant Period
October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2025.
