The strategic aim of this NOFA is to award funding that supports the development of programs that assist in rapidly rehousing those experiencing unsheltered homelessness.
The City of New Orleans has recently engaged with local homeless service providers, the New Orleans business community, health care system, and nationally recognized consultants to better coordinate a response to unsheltered homelessness. This NOFA represents an opportunity to fund programs that, if initially successful, can be prioritized for sustainable and long-term funding.

Assistance includes but is not limited to goods and services such as move-in-kits (furniture, linens, etc.), utility assistance, security deposits, hotel stays, and government identification assistance.
