The facility expansion enables the NCFI to grow its mission to educate, train, and equip State, local, territorial, and Tribal law enforcement officers, prosecutors, and judges regarding the investigation and prevention of cybersecurity incidents, electronic crimes, and related cybersecurity threats.
Specifically, NCFI furthers DHS Goal 3, securing cyberspace and critical infrastructure. The NCFI Facility Expansion Grant Program increases NCFI’s capacity to meet the nation’s demand for education, training, and equipment for the investigation and prevention of cybersecurity incidents, electronic crimes, and related cybersecurity threats. NCFI provides education, training, and equipment to its federal, state, local, territorial, and tribal law enforcement, prosecutor, and judge audience. Students are educated on emerging threats and criminal trends, trained on appropriate threat mitigation and response, and equipped with the tools necessary to empower and support local operations.
