The primary goal of this grant program is to address the epidemic of loneliness and social isolation by creating meaningful ways to connect people with their communities.
Eligible organizations outside of Springfield and Greene County, but within the CFO service area, are encouraged to apply. This includes rural Missouri south of the Missouri River and outside the metro areas of St. Louis and Kansas City.
The CFO is administering this program on behalf of the Louis L. and Julia Dorothy Coover Charitable Foundation, a private foundation managed by Commerce Trust Company.
Funding Information
The Coover Regional Vibrant Communities Grant Program will support up to $220,000 in projects, with a $10,000 – $20,000 range suggested for proposal consideration.
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible agencies must be nonprofit 501(c)3 or organizations with equivalent tax exempt status in good standing with the IRS.
- Eligible agencies (nonprofits, local government entities, or school districts) must serve in the CFO service area outside of Greene County.
- Applications that request more than $20,000 will not be considered.
