The City of Wichita Falls partners with local non-profit organizations to provide financial support for eligible activities and projects that meet the purpose of the CDBG Program and meet a local priority need identified by the Consolidated Plan. The CDBG Program’s purpose is to support the development of viable communities by encouraging suitable living environments, decent housing, and expanded economic opportunities. For organizations to be eligible, an organization must primarily serve low-to-moderate-income persons or exclusively serve low-to-moderate-income persons in CDBG-eligible areas.
Funding Information
This funding cycle coincides with the federal fiscal year which runs from October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025. Generally, the City receives approximately $1.2 million in CDBG funding annually with approximately 25-50% being granted to subrecipients in any given year. However, fund levels for the upcoming year have not yet been determined.
