Three public health field of interest funds were established in response to the Kansas Health Foundation’s second chapter of the Giving Resources to World (GROW II) match grant challenge: Kansas Health Foundation Fund for Republic County, North Central Kansas Health Care Foundation Fund, and Republic County Health Fund. Grants from these funds support the public health of Republic County.
Public health is defined as the protection and promotion of the health and well-being of individuals and their communities through encouragement of healthy lifestyles, behaviors and environments.
Major contributors to this fund include the North Central Kansas Health Care Foundation and the Salina Regional Health Foundation. Their generous support also qualified to help us earn a 50% match from the Kansas Health Foundation for GROW II.
Eligibility Criteria
- The community foundation can make grants to the following entities:
- 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations
- Education
- Government
- Religious
- If you are applying on behalf of a church, please contact the Foundation before applying.
- Individuals or organizations that do NOT fall into one of the above entities are encouraged to partner with a fiscal agent in one of those categories.
- If that is not possible, please contact the community foundation to see if your project still qualifies and if there are any additional reporting requirements
- Grants are typically restricted to the geographic areas served by the community foundation
