There are four main authorized expenditure categories:
- Response to the pandemic and its negative economic impacts
- Provision of government services
- Premium Pay for eligible employees
- Water, wastewater, stormwater, and broadband infrastructure.
Eligibility Criteria
In consideration of the expenditure criteria and a desire to have a broad impact on their Community, the Village will use the following approach:
- Potential grant award candidates will be grouped into one of three classifications:
- Village Services
- General Government Services
- Independent Businesses and Nonprofits
- Village Service awards will include Premium Pay for Village employees (expenditure category #3), consultation/administration costs associated with the grant program (#2), and possibly a stormwater project (Dye Creek) in The Park at Flat Rock (#4).
- General Government Service awards will be based on specific needs as recommended by Public Services Providers (#2), Fire & Rescue Departments [Blue Ridge (65%), Valley Hill (25%), and Green River (10%), with allocations proportional to their service areas], Sheriff’s Office, EMT Services, and Henderson County Rescue Squad.
