The City of Pearland is proud to release a Notice of Grant Opportunity for its Non-Profit Facility Improvement/Acquisition Grant Program to provide financial support for certain types of local 501c organizations to make major capital improvements to their existing facilities and/or acquire additional land for expansion or relocation purposes.

American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds will be used to provide the grant funds, with the potential to add U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds if needed. Applications must propose projects that involve expansion of existing facilities, major capital improvements, and/or land acquisition to expand the existing space of a facility. Funds may also be used to acquire an alternate facility for relocation purposes. Matching funds are not required, but additional contributions from the applicant may be required if a proposed project cost exceeds available/awarded funds. No other federal funds may be used to match this grant program’s funding.
Applicants MUST demonstrate a nexus to one or both required COVID-19 priorities:
- Capital improvements that prevent the spread of COVID-19 through expansion, reconfiguration, or relocation of a facility; and/or
- Capital improvements that promote continued economic recovery in response to COVID-19.
IRS 501(c)5, 501(c)7, 501(c)8 and 501(c)13 organizations may NOT be considered eligible for participation in the program.
