The EEF seeks to counter systemic socio-economic inequality in the educational system by providing access to critical resources and encourage innovative programming that addresses these issues. They are currently accepting funding proposals from U.S. educators in K-12 public, private, or charter schools in traditionally underserved communities for:
- Evidence-based programming that addresses demonstrable gaps in students’ learning
- Innovative programming that removes systemic barriers to academic opportunity
Eligibility Criteria
- The fall grant cycle is open to U.S. educators working at accredited K-12 public, private or charter schools that maintain a 501(c)(3) or 509(a)(1) tax-exempt status in traditionally underserved communities. During the application process, applicants will be asked to identify the percentage of students from low-income households attending their school and indicate whether or not the school is Title 1 eligible.
- No grants will be awarded to institutions that discriminate or restrict admission on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or any basis prohibited under federal, state or local law.
