These one-time grants will fund projects or programs in the following areas:
- Support organizations directly serving Flathead Valley residents affected by COVID-19
- Address unforeseen, urgent nonprofit needs resulting from the COVID-19 crisis
Although the Grants Committee reviews each proposal separately, requests for the following will not qualify for an Emergency Response Grant:
- Organizations outside Flathead County
- Individuals
- Deficits or retirement of debt
- Programs or projects promoting a religious doctrine
- Political campaigns or projects/programs promoting a political agenda
- Conduit organizations, i.e., organizations or events that pass funds to other organizations
- Seed money for projects or programs not yet started, or for projects or programs that are completed or conducted prior to the grant award date
- Event sponsorships
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants for funding must be tax exempt under the provisions of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or publicly-owned tax exempt organizations. Tax exempt status must exist at time of application.
- The COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund will prioritize community-based organizations serving the Flathead Valley.
