The fund’s main purpose has been to assist community-based food pantries and non-government-funded school-based programs with critical food supplies. They are working to flexibly respond to other requests for essential support and rapidly deploy resources to help North Country nonprofits deliver aid to those impacted by the coronavirus pandemic and its consequences.
The Community Foundation is asking food pantries, soup kitchens, and school backpack programs that have an affiliation with the Food Bank of Central New York (FBCNY), and have previously received annual funding distributions from the Foundation, to complete this application. Submissions through this form are required to be considered for funding this year. Organizations that receive grant support must purchase food items through the Food Bank of Central New York.

Eligibility Criteria
- Grants are limited to 501(c)(3) organizations, fiscal sponsors, or other charitable organizations that can receive tax-deductible contributions such as schools, faith-based organizations, and other public entities.
