The TBRA-EP Program is designed to help you stay in your current residence by providing subsidized monthly rent for up to 24 months, and will pay up to 6 months of rent arrears.
- City of Pasadena households that meet the following criteria are eligible for the TBRA-EP Program:
- Has income below 50% of the area median income for the area; and
- Has in sufficient resources immediately available to attain housing stability; and
- Has been notified that their right to occupy their current housing will be terminated.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the TBRA-EP program, all the following criteria must be met:
- Applicant’s household income cannot exceed 50% area median income (AMI);
- Applicant has insufficient resources immediately available to attain housing stability; and
- Have written notification from landlord/owner that applicant’s right to occupy their current housing will terminated.
Eligible Activities
Program funds may be used to provide TBRA-EP tenants with:
- Rental assistance up to 100% subsidy of monthly rent for a term up to 24 months (HOMEARP)
- Security deposits in conjunction with rental assistance in an amount not to exceed two month’s rent for the unit
- Utility deposit assistance in conjunction with rental assistance.
- Costs of housing inspections
- Payment of rent arrears up to six months (CDBG-CV)
- Legal Services (Treasury-ARP)
- Assistance with landlord negotiations
- Legal representation in eviction court proceedings.
