The Anamosa Community Foundation was established in 2004 by a group of Anamosa citizens. It is an endowment fund dedicated solely for the benefit of Anamosa. The mission of the fund is to provide a source of financial aid for special needs in the Anamosa community, as identified by nonprofit organizations in Anamosa.
The Anamosa Community Foundation is a fund within the Jones County Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque.
ACF Funding Priorities:
- Improve economic well-being or quality of life
- Improve educational opportunities
- Address community capital improvements
- Maintain and improve the health of its residents
- Promote tourism and recreation
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for funding, an organization/program must:
- Provide services within Anamosa
- Be a Nonprofit 501(c)3, public institution, and/or charitable organization.
- For organizations without nonprofit status, partnering with a fiscal sponsor organization will be required
- Organization are not generally awarded a grant for two consecutive years.
The foundation does not fund
- Organizations with a religious affiliation
- Organization’s recurring operating expenses (i.e. staffing, building rent)
- Multi-year funding requests
