Whitefish Community Foundation has developed a Community Emergency Response Fund to provide flexible resources for nonprofits facing an unexpected emergency.
These grants may be deployed rapidly to support nonprofits during a recognized emergency or disaster in the Flathead Valley, or they may be utilized to fund projects or repairs that must be addressed immediately in order to keep a local nonprofit operating.
Eligible Projects
- Unforeseen situations that must be addressed immediately or the nonprofit will be unable to continue programs and fulfill its mission.
- Support for nonprofit programs mobilized to address an emergency in one or more Flathead Valley communities.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applying organization must be a 501(C) (3) nonprofit charity, government entity, or other IRS recognized charitable entity, primarily providing services to residents of Flathead County, Montana.
- Tax exempt status must exist at the time of application. A copy of the organization’s official I.R.S. Determination Letter will be uploaded into the application.
