Since 1997, the Lily Auchincloss Foundation has been providing grants to help promote the quality of life in New York City. They support organizations working in the arts, human services, and environment within the five boroughs of New York City. The organization provides Foundation Grants and Discretionary Awards.
The Human Services cycle is open to organizations whose mission and programs support prevention, change, and education programs aimed at improving the quality of life for all New York City residents.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must Support Human Services
- For human services, the foundation supports programs for New York City residents for prevention, change, and education for the improvement of their quality of life.
- The foundation does not support research projects, mental health programs, medical services, hospitals, nursing homes, substance abuse programs, universities, or schools (public, private or charter schools).
- For educational organizations, apply under one of the other categories based on the organization’s mission and program content.
- 501(C)3 Organizations Only
- The Foundation funds only 501(c)3 organizations located within the five boroughs of New York City.
- Must Be In One of NYC’S 5 Boroughs
- The foundation does not award grants to individuals or programs for New York City residents outside of the five boroughs.
- No Fiscal Sponsor or Pending Tax-Exempt Status
- The foundation cannot accept applications from organizations with a fiscal sponsor or whose tax-exempt status is pending.
- Must Have IRS Determination Letter
- Organizations applying for a grant must have received an IRS determination letter.
