The Wortman Family Foundation for Shelby and Hancock Counties was created by Bob Wortman from a desire to give back to the communities that have been extremely supportive of both his family and his businesses.

Activities that better these communities and address their current needs will be considered. Efforts and initiatives in education and health are preferred and projects or programs benefitting the Morristown community are priority.

Funding information

Requests between $2,500-$25,000 will be considered.

Eligibility Criteria

Grants are awarded to local 501(c)3 nonprofits and organizations that are exempt from filing for a 501 (c)3 status. Organizations without 501(c)3 designation must show documentation of charitable purpose.  It is advisable to have a fiscal sponsor secured and have proper documentation outlining the fiscal sponsors responsibilities. Units of government, school corporations, and religious organizations all qualify for funding. The Wortman Family Foundation does not award grants to individuals.
