With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks applications for funding under the fiscal year (FY) 2024 Children’s Advocacy Centers Membership and Accreditation Program. This program provides funding for a national membership and accreditation organization to support training and technical assistance and implementation of national standards for CACs. CACs provide a coordinated response to victims of child abuse through multidisciplinary teams composed of representatives from community agencies and professionals involved with intervention, prevention, prosecution, and investigation systems that respond to child abuse cases.
The goal of the Children’s Advocacy Centers Membership and Accreditation Program is to ensure that CACs, multidisciplinary teams, and allied professionals have support and national standards to guide their response to cases of child abuse.
Objectives
The objectives of this program are to enhance, maintain, and publish national standards for accreditation; maintain membership criteria for eligibility; disseminate information among current and potential member organizations; and facilitate communication among members.
