The goal of this funding is to increase community awareness among residents of Minnesota, including the 11 Tribal Nations that share its geography regarding the 988 Lifeline and how to connect to its service.

This grant will serve:
- All people living in Minnesota including the 11 Tribal Nations
Grant outcomes will include:
- Develop educational content and marketing for the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in Minnesota.
- Increase community awareness and understanding of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline through an educational campaign that demonstrates how the 988 Lifeline works and the different ways to access its services.

MDH is seeking proposals for the grant period of July 1, 2023-April 29, 2024.
Eligible Projects
The purpose of this project is to increase awareness of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in communities across Minnesota and the 11 Tribal Nations that share its geography. Successful applicants will propose a plan to aid the Department in its effort to:
- Develop, produce, and deliver all 988 Lifeline educational creative assets
- Customize national messaging materials
- Media buying and implementation including but not limited to social media, audio ads, digital video, or other strategies to best reach communities.
- Evaluate the impact and reach of work
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible applicants include communications and marketing organizations with a minimum of two years of experiencing developing public health campaigns and creative assets. Applicants must be able to conduct grant activities in the State of Minnesota. Preference will be given to applicants located in Minnesota.
