The City of Pueblo has announced the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) request for proposals.
Donor Name: City of Pueblo
State: Colorado
Municipality: Pueblo
Type of Grant: Grant
Deadline: 05/26/2022
Size of the Grant: $700,000
Details:
The CDBG program is one of the tools the City of Pueblo uses to revitalize and stimulate growth in predominantly low-to-moderate income areas and neighborhoods.
An estimated $1.4 million is allocated each year by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Grant applications are welcome and must assist the City of Pueblo to meet the goals of the Consolidated Plan submitted to HUD. The goals listed in Consolidated Plan were drafted and prioritized from public input. Applications should benefit low- and moderate-income persons, prevent or remove slum and blight, or benefit a residential area in qualified census tract.
An estimated $700,000 will be allocated for the public and non-profit agencies to apply for grant funding. The online application allows for three different types of proposals which include a public services application, public facilities application, and a neighborhood improvements application. The purpose of these funds is to develop viable urban communities by providing housing, suitable living environments and expanding economic opportunities.
