The Lewisville Neighborhood Vitality Program encourages engagement, empowering and motivating residents to improve the quality of life in their neighborhoods. They want to build strong neighborhoods in Lewisville for today and tomorrow and ensure long-term vitality in their neighborhoods.
The programs under Neighborhood Vitality support the goals and objectives identified under “Diverse and Thriving Neighborhoods”, one of the seven Big Moves outlined in the Lewisville 2025 vision plan.
Programs under the Neighborhood Vitality Program:
- Property Enhancement Program: financial grant-rebate program for Lewisville residents to assist with exterior home repairs.
- Neighborhood Enhancement Program: a reimbursable grant for up to $12,500 to fund neighborhood improvement and enhancement projects that improves the quality of life for residents in Lewisville.
- Love Your Block: reimbursable mini-grant of $500 that encourages neighborhoods to organize neighborhood events and complete small projects that build stronger relationships and improve neighborhoods.
- Together Lewisville Coalition: coalition of government entities, social service agencies, faith‐based institutions and businesses with an interest in Lewisville.
- Lewisville Community Leaders: A book collection created to provide community members with the tools and information needed to inspire and create positive community change.
- Neighborhood Registration: Register your Neighborhood to qualify for neighborhood grants and receive neighborhood engagement information from the City of Lewisville.
Funding Information
NEP is a matching grant up to $12,500 to neighborhood groups wanting to beautify their neighborhood. The grant can be used to build entryway features, buy street sign toppers, create a Neighborhood Emergency Response Team, or improve a neighborhood park.
