The Youth Job Training (JT) Opportunity activities that are eligible for funding are those designed to address a specific, at-risk population. Activities given priority are employment services for youth.
The Nebraska JAG program is designed for “at-risk” youth from qualified households. The Nebraska JAG program partners with local school districts, and through that partnership, an educator is hired to implement the Nebraska JAG program to eligible students. Eligible participants for the Nebraska JAG program must have specific barriers defined by the JAG program that may prevent them from graduating high school, pursuing postsecondary education or joining the labor force.

Eligibility Criteria
Every Nebraska county or incorporated municipality not designated as a CDBG Entitlement Community is eligible to apply for funding through DED. The CDBG Entitlement Communities of Lincoln, Omaha, Bellevue and Grand Island administer the program in their own areas.
