These grants are made possible by generous support of the community. United Way of Acadiana is committed to supporting educators achieve excellence in their classrooms and with their students.
What will this program fund?
The budget request may include materials needed to accomplish the project, consultants who are necessary for the successful implementation of the project, staff development directly related to the purpose of the project, equipment and/or field trips only if an integral component of the project.
What will this program not fund?
Substitute pay, teacher salaries, out-of-state travel, and/or lodging will not be funded (conference fees CAN be funded). Projects cannot displace or replace programs funded through the LPSS General Fund, the Minimum Foundation Program (MFP) or State General Fund.
Funding Information
$1,000 is the maximum grant to a educator per project. Educators may also be a part of school applications.
Grants are only available to Lafayette Parish public school teachers and schools. Other educational institutions in the United Way of Acadiana area are eligible for PACT grants and other UWA educational programs.
