The 4 to 8-week program levels the playing field for fifty current and aspiring entrepreneurs by equipping them with skills and knowledge to start and grow their businesses. Long-standing structural inequities have excluded Black entrepreneurs and small business owners from accessing opportunities to achieve financial prosperity. They remove barriers to access by leveraging a community of experts to provide wrap-around services and creating pathways to wealth building for entrepreneurs.
The Black Millionaire Development Program is offered by SF Black Wallstreet with support from the Human Rights Commission, the Dream Keeper Initiative, and Office of Economic and Workforce Development, and the Success Centers.
The goals of the program are to:
- Increase number of microbusinesses in the Black community
- Stabilize existing microbusinesses
- Connect business owners to service providers
- Increase networking and support among participating entrepreneurs
- Increase the number of nontraditional business owners
Eligibility Criteria
Fifty entrepreneurs will participate in the Black Millionaire Development Program. To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a San Francisco resident
- Have a business registered in San Francisco or be ready to register a business and complete the registration before the end of the program
- Be part of at least one of the target communities
- Be available 5 hours per week during the duration of the program,
- Be low-to-moderate-income
