For the 2024 edition of the Pride Photo Award they want to ensure an open and inviting contest, and have chosen to remain without a specific theme: The process of change. They strive to expand the horizons, and those of their audiences, through a rich, multi-faceted and diverse collection of stories from the global LGBTQIA+ community.
They invite you all to apply, and hope to see this openness reflected in the submissions for the 2024 Pride Photo contest. Whether artistic photography that expresses the richness of diversity and identity in the community, documentary photographs highlighting the struggle for recognition and equal rights, or images that celebrate the power of inclusive collaboration and unity.

- The winner(s) will receive and benefit from:
- €500 for the photographer of the winning single image.
- €1000 for the photographer of the winning series.
- €150 for the other photographers whose photo(s) will be included in the Pride Photo Exhibition 2024.
- For the winners a personal portfolio reviews by one of the jury members.
- Being seen by a substantial number of visual arts professionals, photography lovers, thousands of visitors and in the media when the awarded photos are prominently displayed in the Pride Photo Exhibitions 2024, stating the award, photographers name, title and description.
- Being seen by a substantial number of visual arts professionals, photography lovers, when the awarded photos are (repeatedly) displayed on the website and social media platforms of Pride Photo, in which the photographer will be mentioned and where possible tagged.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Open Call of Pride Photo Award 2024 is open to all emerging and established visual artists worldwide.
- The submitted works must correspond to the topic of this year’s edition, being: The process of change. Furthermore, they are looking for works that challenge the way they think and question established ideas of engagement.
- You can submit a maximum of 2 projects per application; however you are free to register more than once.
- All the participants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of submission.
- You can submit video stills and/or installation shots as part of the images for a series.
- There is no restriction to submitting work that has been part of other photo competitions or prior exhibitions.
- Duos and collectives are more than welcome to participate.
Terms
- The photographer(s) must be the author(s) of the submitted pictures .
- The photographer(s) must be the copyright holder(s) to submit the picture(s).
- A picture can only be entered once, either as a single picture or as part of a story.
- Entries must be submitted via the official contest platform Picter. Entries sent in other ways will not be accepted.
- Pictures can be submitted whether or not they have been published.
- All pictures must have accurate captions, written in English only, and contain all the needed information.
- Pictures must not show the name of the photographer, publication, or any other information in the image.
- Copyright holders retain copyright of their submitted pictures.
