For this round, they are inviting proposals on any topic or geography connected with the history of the photobook.
The concept of the photobook is interpreted in the broadest sense possible: classic bound books, portfolios, personal albums, unpublished books, zines, digital media, and scrapbooks. The evaluation of proposals will consider the importance of the proposed topic (how significant and/or unknown is the subject) and the strength of the proposed approach.
Funding Information
- 10×10 Photobooks will award three grants this cycle for calendar 2024 in the amount of $2,500 each.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications are open to anyone (researchers, writers, editors, curators, etc), regardless of an academic discipline, degree, affiliation or nationality.
- An application may include multiple applicants and the information on additional researchers should be entered in the notes field on the form).
- Applicants must be proficient in spoken and written English.
- Applicants should not hold any other fellowship or grant relating to the proposed project and any exceptions should be explained in the Notes field on the application. Successful applicants are welcome to seek additional funding for follow-on work on the project.
