The kids’ fund program works with nonprofits and community partners to fund programs that:
- Provide advocacy based on identified needs for their most vulnerable youth
- Increase access to educational opportunities, tutoring, growth, and graduation, and employment assistance with job skills training
- Work to prevent youth homelessness by providing effective tools for prevention and direction toward a stable housing
- Meet the basic needs of their youth by providing access to food, clothing, hygiene, and laundry facilities
Funding Information
- the one-time request of up to $50,000
- the multi-year request of up to $50,000 per year for up to three consecutive years, depending on the scale and needs of the program
Eligibility Criteria
- Applying organizations must be based in Flathead County, and offer well-established programs serving homeless youth, or youth at risk of becoming homeless.
- The organization must be tax-exempt under the provisions of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or a publicly-owned tax-exempt organization. Tax-exempt status must exist at the time of application.
