Voices for Change is a unique artist grant opportunity designed to promote social awareness through the arts. A central principle of the Grant program is the advancement of inclusiveness, equity, and accessibility in the community; they believe that art has the power to illuminate complex issues, encourage civic discourse and open the community to new ways of thinking. Voices for Change provides the creative community with an opportunity to develop and present new work that inspires and informs, and may be a catalyst for action. Different funding levels will be available and competitive projects will identify an organizational partner to work with.
The grant program seeks to support artists in creating new work through authentic community engagement that can lead to impact/change. Applicants are strongly encouraged to develop projects in collaboration with a Voices for Change Partner organization. Scoring priority will be given to projects that can clearly articulate a thoughtful partnership with a community organization.
Projects may address, but are not limited to, the following categories:

- Criminal Justice
- Cultural Equity
- The Constitution
- Social Change
- Social Justice
- Public Health
- Climate Activism
- Human Rights
- Barriers to Participation in Civic Life
- Food Insecurity

Funding Information
- ArtsWestchester will award multiple grants in $5,000 and $10,000 increments through a competitive selection process.
Eligibility Criteria
- Artists and artist collectives working in the Mid-Hudson Valley region are invited to submit proposals.
- Applicants will submit projects that include a collaborative component with a cultural, service, or community-based organization.
