The non-competitive Arts for Towns grants for municipalities in Wake County support arts programming by North Carolina-based artists.
Grant Request
Each eligible town may request up to $5,000 to support eligible artist fees for arts programming to take place July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023, in its municipality.
Eligible Artist
Grant funding may only be used to pay North Carolina-based artists or arts organizations, such as:
- Performing Artists: musicians, dancers, theatre companies, etc.
- Teaching Artists: to lead workshops, residencies, camps, etc.
- Visual Artists: to create murals, exhibit artwork, etc.
Equipment, marketing, staffing, and other costs are not eligible.
Eligibility Requirements
The Wake County municipal governments of Apex, Cary, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Holly Springs, Knightdale, Morrisville, Rolesville, Wake Forest, Wendell, and Zebulon or their departments are eligible to apply. One application per town will be accepted.
