Through competitive Thrive community development grants, they strive to empower and engage Morgan County communities by improving the quality of life. Civic organizations and non-profits addressing community development needs are encouraged to apply. Projects should address the social determinants of health, including neighborhood environment, economic stability, education, healthcare, and community involvement. The foundation aims to support creative approaches to community needs by providing grants which will benefit a wide range of people.

Applicants will be required to match the dollars requested or up to $6,000.
What They Fund
- Non-profit organizations impacting Morgan County: They do approve grant applications from organizations whose headquarters are located outside the county if a significant number of persons who will be served reside in Morgan County. Only 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations and organizations that are exempt from filing for a 501(c)(3) status (units of government, school corporations, and religious organizations) are eligible. Organizations may submit multiple applications for different programs and may apply for different types of grants.
- Eligible projects are intended to develop local communities and focus on social determinants of health (see below).
- Eligible projects are inclusive for the community and can address multiple improvement initiatives to inspire and advocate for improved quality of life for Morgan County families and residents.
- Organizations who are looking to establish and fund local projects that are permanent and will improve the quality of life for their local community. The following will be priority funding areas:

What They Do Not Fund
- Individuals: Individuals wishing to apply must do so with the cooperation of a non-profit organization, and the organization must submit the application.
- Organizations with outstanding grant reports or outstanding grant repayments due to
- Organizations without a 501C status.
- Overhead related to an organization such as salaries, utilities, etc.
- Capacity expenses such as software, transportation, training/certification, etc.
- Projects that do not serve Morgan County citizens.
- Projects typically fully funded by the government.
- Projects to build or fund an endowment.
- Religious activities or programs that serve or appear to serve predominantly one denomination, not the community at large.
- Political organizations or campaigns.
- National and state fundraising efforts which do not directly benefit local agencies or
- Projects that could be considered discriminatory.
- Projects operated by for-profit companies.
