The Water is Life Fund is a grant program focused on high-impact solutions to the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) access crisis in the United States, US territories, and sovereign tribal nations within US borders.
Funding Information
- The Water is Life Fund awards $100,000 each year: four $5,000 gifts, four $10,000 gifts, and two $20,000 gifts—over two application cycles.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for Water is Life funds:
- Your project must be based in the U.S., U.S. territories, or on sovereign tribal nations within U.S. borders. They are currently prioritizing projects on the Navajo Nation, but may consider other applicants depending on demand;
- Your project must measurably improve access to water, sanitation, and/or hygiene for the target recipients;
- Your project is designed to meet human needs. They do not fund livestock or agricultural water projects;
- If you’re applying on behalf of an organization, your organization must have an annual operating budget of less than $3 million.
